This is the case for many families when a child is suddenly hurt as a result of an accident or born with a serious illness.

What would you do if your family was desperately in need of transportation for your 3 children all depending on their motorized wheel chairs?  For family outings and doctor visits, your family has to rely on public transportation. Your three young son’s , all afflicted with Muscular Dystrophy are trying to live a normal life, but are missing childhood opportunities because they can not get where they want to go. They need a van to get them around.

Where would you go if you were told that your precious child, lying in an inactive state from a brain injury caused by a car accident, needed a piece of exercise equipment that cost $15,000-and you’ve  already almost lost everything you own just taking care of her.

Who would you call if you were a single mom of 6 children and your youngest child, born with cerebral palsy and numerous health issues needed special care? Family and friends are too afraid to take care of your child so you take her with you everywhere. Someone with nursing skills is not in your budget.

Catastrophic Assistance Network, a non-profit organization was formed by a group of volunteers, educators, parents and concerned community members who experienced or worked with children who have suffered from catastrophic illness or injury. Resources to help the special needs of these children are often limited or non-existent posting hardships on the child or family.

CCAN will be there to help fill the VOID after other sources are exhausted and families have no where else to turn.
