Imaginegetting a phone call that your child has just been involved in a critical accident.
Imaginehaving a child who is well and healthy until one day, for no reason, he/she can't walk, talk, or recognize who you are.
Imagine your child being diagnosed with a life-threatening disease, or you've just learned that your newborn has a serious defect.
It only takes a second to change one’s life forever. This is the case for many families when faced with having to care for a child who is medically fragile. Once out of the hospital, resources to help the special needs of these children are often limited or non-existent, posting vast hardships on these children and their families. Children’s Catastrophic Assistance Network (CCAN) was formed to help these families meet the needs that exist, but where other organizations can't help
Our mission is to help improve the quality of life for children and their families affected by catastrophic injury or illness.
